Hey everyone, my name is Victoria and I am from Seattle, Washington state, the rainy state! You might be wondering what I am doing all the way over here in St Paul trois châteaux. Well I am here to grow in my relationship with God and spread His love. It amazes me how God equips us with everything we need to go out and share His good news. God has really been showing me new things each week! We have just had a weeks teaching on evangelism, which is something I am really interested in as I believe it is the ministry that I am called to. It was so encouraging to hear the stories that the speaker told, it made me want to get out of my seat there and then, and go out and tell people about God! I really cannot wait to go to Cameroon on outreach or even to go home and start evangelising and spreading the good news.

Hello, my name is Haley and I am from the United States. We have now passed the half way point in the lecture phase and have just had a weeks teaching on Leadership and Calling. We looked at the five ministries (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher), in depth and really dug deep into the characteristics of each. For me personally, I don't fall into one of these five catagories yet, I think that God is still building me up and preparing me to be one of these. I feel that for now, I need to work on having a pure and kind heart and I need to look at people through the eyes of Jesus; with a lot of mercy and grace. I really enjoyed this teaching and I think that it will help me a lot in the future when I am ready to hear and accept God's call on my life.
A couple of key points for me were:
We all need to respect eachother, trust eachother, work with eachother and realise we are all different yet compatible.
We need to learn to be content in the situation you are in.

Hello, my name is Simone. I am twenty-five years old, and I come from Germany.
I am happy to do this DTS, because I am learning a lot about God and I am experiencing many new things with Him. For example, on the weekend of the 23-24 of October, we went to Lyon to join a group called ELAM with their street evangelism which they do once a month. It was encouraging seeing other young people with a burning heart for the Lord. The program was about 3 1/2 hours long, and divided into three parts. During the program we handed out flyers and during the breaks we talked to people in the crowd, which was difficult for me because of the language, so I didn't think I would be able to speak to anyone because it wasn't possible. During the second part one of the staff members asked me to come with her and pray. While we were praying near the ELAM truck, one of the American students (Megan) came with a homeless woman to give her clothes. Megan told me that this lady was German, and we started talking. I walked with them to where the two other American students were already sitting with her boyfriend. They had talked for a long time already and given them a Bible. The German woman couldn't speak English very well, so they had mostly spoken with the man. So I started translating for them. We asked them if they had ever heard about Jesus, and if they had ever heard about Him or know who He is. We told them about God and about how much He loves them, and that Jesus died for them. We then shared our testimonies. We asked if we could pray for them, and they both agreed. I was happy that God used me, and that He gave me the chance to talk about Him.

We helped with a concert for the group VISA this Sunday. The concert started at 3 pm. At 2:50, the room was basically empty. I think that several of us were feeling uneasy, but God did not abandon us, the room filled up in 20 minutes and the concert started. Thank you, Father. Rolf, the leader of the group led us in a time of pop rock worship, with some testimonies in between, which I'm sure touched hearts. At the end of the concert we went into a time of more traditional worship that lifted people up. It's great to see how much the people are thirsty for this presence and how they are invested for Jesus. At the end everyone could talk or go where their heart desired, with a memory of the word of Jesus, a seed sown that will bear fruit one day or other.

I did my DTS last year, it changed my life, I liked it so much that this year I returned as staff. I have a degree in social work. I absolutely love meeting new people and discovering new cultures, I find it very rewarding! I have a heart to share the gospel through the arts; theatre, mime, dance! So I am an avid street performer.

My name is Magda, I am 22 years old and I come from Poland. For some time now I have had three desires in my heart. I wanted to do a Bible school, to do a mission and to improve my French. So I decided to make them all come true at one time by coming to YWAM in France to do a DTS.
It's been two weeks now since I came to St Paul. Before coming here I wasn't really sure wether it was a good decision, but all my doubts dissapeared during the first days here. i have met some amazing people (Staff & Students) who love Jesus and want to serve Him.
We have had very interesting teaching about the cross & repentance as well as worship & intimacy with God. We have times of prayer, worship, small groups, practical work and also lots of fun.
It's a wonderful experience to be with people from different backgrounds, cultures and languages who have one thing in common; love for our Lord Jesus Christ.
As the Bible says, we are 'A chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession that we may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvellous light!' (1 Peter 2:4)
I believe that during the six months of the DTS God will speak to me, that I will be touched, changed, challenged and equipped to 'Proclaim the excellencies of Him' I am looking forward to see what God has in store for me.
